Mark your calendars and gather your friends, on March 2, 2020 The Tentacle will launch its new website.  Keep an eye out for the link on our Facebook page.

Saturday, February 29, 2020 the website will go dark and be reborn on Monday morning.

This will be the last item posted to the old Tentacle website.   It has served the Frederick Community well since 2002. Thank you for following and supporting it for almost two decades.

To all the past writers and participants we thank you for your contributions over the last 18 years.   If you are a past columnist and would like to resume contributing, we extend an open invitation.

Look for familiar writers as well as fresh ones on the new format.

As we move forward, we invite members of the community to participate in the sharing of local news, opinion and events.  If you are interested in writing and contributing please reach out to us via our Contact page.

We extend an invitation to student writers looking for a place to be published.

The Tentacle is community content, written by people in our communities for our communities to build the personal bonds in our communities.  If you feel you have something to say that others want to hear, let’s hear it.  We best serve our neighbors and stay connected by keeping each other informed, staying engaged and sharing what’s happening around us.  If there is something you would like to see featured on a regular basis, please let us know.

If you have an event you want to post, a question you’d like to have answered, have a news tip or want to share something fabulous, reach out to us.  You are the news.

Please join us in this new adventure.  We will be on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and our new website.  Please “like” our pages and share them with your friends.  We are nothing without you, our community.

We want to thank everyone who helped us launch this new chapter in gathering and disseminating local news, opinion and events.  We can’t thank enough our very talented web designer Kira Wynne, with KW Photography & Design, who put this all together in such a short amount of time.

The Tentacle is here to serve Frederick County.
