Meachum Needs to Research

The article "KKK's Spirit Marches On," which appeared on The Tentacle on October 16, is instructive as it embodies the "Relocated-from-New-Jersey-because-I-couldn't-hack-it-Liberal-mind-set." Note that even though Roy Meachum bailed out of NJ, the problems in the Garden State festered into Camden, which is now a virtual no-go zone for police and an enclave that was proven to be the haven for the 9/11 highjackers.

Facts that Roy used in his article are reprinted almost word for word from the Ahmadi's advertisement (or press release) in the Frederick News Post on the weekend of October 13 and 14.

Yes, we know that you have the curmudgeonly-sense-of history, Roy, and a perspective due to your grayness, but this does not mean you should not be doing some new research of your own. Entitled to your opinion you are. A landowner with consequences being thrust upon you in Walkersville you are not.

The applicants to the zoning regulations exemption have a history with other communities, which you should have researched (we have)....and a Mission Statement on their own web-site that declares allegiance to uncontrolled growth for the "Khaliphate."

The real issues, which are voiced in the Petition drive of the CFW, are on said petition on and I urge everyone to consider this once-in-a-decade opportunity to slow a spasmodic growth.

I would also take equally passionate action against a Cub Scout Retreat center on the same farm if they brought up to 10,000 boys there to bivouac!! (And I have been a Scout Leader here.) In this case perhaps it is prudent for the citizens to forgo a little "diversity" in order to preserve our land values and ability to travel from point-to-point within our own community in a reasonable time, and safely!

And by the way, I love New Jersey; I simply, for one, would like to avoid their poor choices, and remain Maryland instead.
