Revenge or Love
The left is shifting to “Plan C,” and then “Plan D” to keep a strict constructionist off the Supreme Court bench. The plans invoke various hypocritical statements about what a judge should and should not be.
Apparently they were fine with a very flawed sexist and racist judge as long as that judge was on their side.
Back in 2009 The New York Times reported: “In 2001, Sonia Sotomayor, an appeals court judge, gave a speech declaring that the ethnicity and sex of a judge “may and will make a difference in our judging.’”
Prior to her appointment to the Supreme Court, Justice Sotomayor showed her racism and sexism by challenging the adage that a wise old man and a wise old woman would reach the same conclusion when deciding cases with this quote: “I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”
In 2005, Justice Sotomayor was videotaped declaring that a “court of appeals is where policy is made… And I know, I know this is on tape, and I should never say that because we don’t make law. I know. O.K. I know. I’m not promoting it. I’m not advocating it. I’m… you know.”
Another quote: “Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences, our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging.”
Another quip from the New York Times: “Still, Judge Sotomayor questioned whether achieving impartiality ‘is possible in all, or even, in most, cases.’" She added: “and I wonder whether by ignoring our differences as women or men of color we do a disservice both to the law and society.’”
The above quotes indicate an intellectual midget that cannot mentally shed her skin or sex organs for a single moment. The above quotes were not from a youthful Sotomayor, they were all within several years of her appointment to the Supreme Court.
Try to find a white-men quote from 2nd Circuit Court Judge Kavanaugh. Imagine if he had ever said in public: “I hope that with the richness of Western Civilization, a wise white man would reach a better conclusion than a Latina that hadn’t lived that life.”
How ugly, racist and sexist is that previous fabricated quote? I hesitate submitting it for publication. Why is it okay and even admirable for Sotomayor to have said something like that? Is it forgivable? I suppose if you believe revenge is the supreme form of justice.
Solutions to historical racism? Revenge. Let’s be racist in modern times.
Solutions to prior sexism? Revenge. Modern sexism.
Free speech limits in the past? Revenge. Let’s deny free speech to the grandchildren of the transgressors.
The left has embraced a policy of revenge. Why not? Socialism doesn’t work, but that’s their policy. “Equal outcomes” is a societal and economical killer but that’s their policy. So, why not add revenge to the platform?
Revenge has ruined lives, communities and nations for as far back as historical accounts exist. But as always, the left won’t be deterred by facts. Blind revenge against all white men is now a plank in the party platform for the Democratic Party.
Revenge is the harboring and nurturing of hate. It is a natural base instinct that is considered a vile sin in traditional western civilization. Jesus condemned it, people heeded his admonitions and man flourished.
As Americans step away from the Lord, they are also casting away the natural laws of God’s world. Whether physical laws, psychological laws or moral laws, they allow their fantasies to drive their actions, unfettered by pesky realities.
The Supreme Court’s job is to ensure compliance with the Constitution. In modern times, it is a tool to override federal legislation and states’ authority.
A leftist Supreme Court is the definition of tyranny, creating policy out of thin air. A conservative court will balance the powers of our nation. It will increase states’ rights; it will restore Congress’s authority, and it will balance and check the power of the president.
Judge Kavanaugh is apparently a constructionist, a strict follower of the authors and amenders of the Constitution. He will help restore the Supreme Court so it can function as the intellectual and dignified defender of the original vision of the Constitution and its amendments.
