Insider Trading Amid Logic in the Wind

Ken Kellar

The left’s pundits just failed another intelligence test as they charge President Donald Trump with illegally releasing information on a government jobs report. They are likening his tweet to insider trading – or even worse.

According to Wikipedia – Insider trading is the trading of a public company's stock, or other securities (such as bonds or stock options), by individuals with access to non-public information about the company. In various countries, some kinds of trading based on insider information are illegal.

Let’s go with the deranged haters of our president and our nation for a moment. Let’s play along and imagine that the government jobs report was the kind of non-public business information that might be the subject of an insider trading charge. Maybe it really is.

There is a big flaw in the charge, however. In order to commit an insider information crime there is an essential ingredient – an insider (or his cohort) who unfairly uses the information to advantage.

Who was the insider that Mr. Trump tipped off about good jobs numbers? The Planet! He tweeted excitement about an upcoming jobs report to the planet. Literally the entire planet follows President Trump’s tweets. Who was left out of the tip? No one, that’s who.

The leftists are so practiced in their hate, while avoiding any practice of open debate, they are generally oblivious to their own insanity. Who gives a flying monkey whether the Official Department of Number Crunchers released their figures to the world at time zero, or their boss released it (or a strong hint) to the world 69 minutes earlier? Everyone got it at the same time.

Ironically his tweet might have even been fairer than normal as the super finance computers may have needed a human input due to the non-traditional method of announcement.

People have such incredible brains. Those brains give most of us such great potential. It is very disturbing to see so many using their brains to nurture evil and hate while casting logic to the wind.
