Spitting in the Eye of America

Steve Gottlieb

September 11, 2001, is the day America finally woke up and realized it was in a war; a war for the very survival of Judeo-Christian ethics, a war for survival of our country against terrorists; a war for survival declared on us by Muslims wanting to establish a worldwide caliphate.

On the 12th anniversary of this horrific attack – as America again prepares to remember those lost that day in 2001 – the American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC) has chosen to hold a “Million Muslim March.” The original reason given for holding the march that day was:

"On 9.11.01 our country was forever changed by the horrific events in New York. The entire country was victimized by the acts done on that day," the group said in a statement. "Muslim and Non-Muslim alike were traumatized but we as Muslims continue 12 years later to be victimized by being made the villains. To this day every media outlet and anti-Islamic organization has committed slanderous and libel statements against us as Muslims and our religion of Islam.

"Yet our Government either sits idly by and does nothing to protect our freedoms or it exacerbates the problem with its constant war on terrorism in Islamic countries, congressional hearings on Islam in America, and its changes to the NDAA law." These quotes are from a Fox News Story dated August 17, 2013.

In other words this march has nothing to do with remembering the victims of the attacks or showing solidarity with other Americans as we stand in defiance of terrorism and strive to protect our freedom, our safety and our future. Americans were rightfully outraged at the intentional insult and as public furor increased, AMPAC changed the name to “Million American March Against Fear” in an effort to make the name sound less threatening and hopefully fooling America into believing this is a demonstration against the fear created by the United States government through its use of drones, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and the continued “War on Terror.”

On its website, AMPAC insinuates al-Qaeda may be at least partially mythical and the “War on Terror” is pure “hallucination.” The quote from its website states:

“Whether or not al-Qaeda is completely mythical, the so-called ‘Islamic terrorist threat’ is pure hallucination. FBI statistics prove that Americans are far more likely to drown in their bathtubs, or be hit by lightning, than to be killed by terrorists of any kind. And Muslims commit only 6% of terrorist attacks in the US – fewer than are committed by radical Jews, and vastly fewer than those perpetrated by leftists and Hispanics.”

In true Islamic anti-Semitic fashion, the AMPAC even tries to say Muslims commit less acts of terror in the United States than “radical Jews.” A quick look at news reporting around the world shows dozens of attacks each day committed by Islamic terrorists. The majority of terror related attacks can be seen as the work of Islamic terrorist groups. Names like al-Qaeda, al-Shabaab, Hamas, Hezbollah, Haqqani Network and Moro Islamic Front are everyday words in the lexicon of people who follow world events.

There are others, to be sure, which cover a multitude of causes. However, the most prolific appear to be Islamic-inspired groups. Yet with all the terrorist activity attributed to these groups, there is very little outcry or condemnation from the Islamic community in the United States or abroad. So, it is no surprise that AMPAC would deny the “War on Terrorism” or that Islam is a threat to our freedom and our safety. Their attempt to make this march sound mainstream is consistent with plans by the Muslim Brotherhood in how to eventually establish an Islamic state in North America.

In a previous article here on July 9, 2013 entitled “The Clarion Call of the Muslim Brotherhood” it was pointed out that its goal was to use our own system against us when Mohammed Akram (a member of the Board of Directors for the Muslim Brotherhood) penned the words “The Process of settlement is a Civilization–Jihadist Process with all the word means. The Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western Civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

AMPAC is spitting in the eye of America as they move forward with the September 11 “Million Muslim March,” or whatever other name it chooses to use. Instead of working to bring Americans together in support of our secular government and Constitution, it instead chooses to make this day of solemn remembrance about Islam. Instead of standing with the majority of Americans in embracing the secular nature of our government, it strives to use our Constitution, morality and sense of guilt against us as it moves forward with Islam’s ultimate goal of destroying the United States as we know it.

Fox News reported that Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, president of the “Islamic Forum for Democracy” stated: "These guys are problematic and they're trying to exploit 9/11," Jasser said. "If they were truly patriotic Americans and moderates, they'd be marching on the courthouse steps of the Fort Hood trial that's happening this week to tell Americans that we want the death penalty for Nidal Hassan rather than this circus that they're doing in exploiting the murders and horrific acts of 9/11."

He has a very good point. Where is the American Muslim community? It is strangely silent about denouncing terrorism or terrorists groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah, except for the occasional voice in the darkness such as Dr. Jasser. People should not be persecuted for their religious beliefs, but that does not mean we shouldn’t identify and shed light on attempts to destroy our American way of life.
