Full faith and trust in our federal government.

Healthy skepticism by an awakening populace.

Media bias surprise.

What’s In:

Media bias expectation.

 

What’s out:

Consensus building.

What’s In:

Nation building.

 

What’s Out:

Death during futile war in Iraq.

What’s In:

Death during futile war in Afghanistan.

 

What’s Out:

Hope for promised transparency in government.

What’s In:

A two-party system that fails to check itself.

 

What’s Out:

Learning from the mistakes of our past.

What’s In:

Creating new and different mistakes!

 

What’s Out:

American can-do spirit and independence.

What’s In:

The “nanny-state” trend…

 

What’s Out:

Argument about incineration and annexation.

What’s In:

More argument about incineration and annexation.

 

What’s Out:

Cooperation between county commissioners and municipalities.

What’s In:

Probably many new county commissioners…

 

What’s Out:

Cheap energy from fossil fuels, enhancing American competitiveness.

What’s In:

Leveling the playing field, globally reducing the only superpower.

 

What’s Out:

Complaining about counting children of “Illegals” to recoup school funds.

What’s In:

Pending teacher and police furloughs and layoffs as a result.

 

What’s Out:  

A CASA of Maryland law suit against Sheriff Chuck Jenkins (tossed).

What’s In;

Yet another CASA nuisance lawsuit against him funded by taxpayers!

 

What’s Out:

Comprehensive immigration policy.

What’s In:

Declaring full amnesty to make it all go away.

 

What’s Out:

Sending out junk mail.

What’s In:

Sending out junk “Tweets!”

 

What’s Out:

Berating social media by those ignoring it.

What’s In:

Marketing gurus and political strategists fully embracing it!

 

What’s Out:

Sarah Palin glasses.

What’s In:

“Voters remorse” blinders.

 

What’s Out:

Holding American dollars.

What’s In:

Holding America hostage…

 

What’s Out:

The American dream of retirement.

What’s In:

That second job.

 

What’s Out:

That non-farming developer up on Walkersville’s old Nicodemus Farm.

What’s In:

The Town of Walkersville; in the real estate business, that is!

 

I’ll just consider that one of my Christmas presents this year.
